OBSERVATIONS OF CONFUSION

I’m sure I am not alone in thinking that although we, all of us, have so many technological and material benefits because we happen to be living at a time in history, where there are more comforts, more knowledge, and more stimuli than ever before, all is not well at the same time.
Everywhere I look confusion reigns; strange philosophies arise, whereby I or you can be considered almost strange or inadequate for believing in the truth of the bible, for believing in the son of God and the salvation he has brought to this rather bereft lost world.
Meanwhile guy on guy or girl on girl action is almost actively being encouraged in this supposed 1st world culture to which we all belong. Obscenity and violence dominate the entertainment industry, whilst surely even the most ungodly are getting a trifle sick of the latest vampire devil witchcraft show. Its truly becoming rather a challenge to find much around at all that meets with the biblical instruction in Philippians 4 -8 which is:
Finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
I don’t know about you all, but I certainly know for myself that I find myself often thinking whatever happened to goodness, you know just plain old honest values, you know doing good to people, living a decent law abiding life, marrying a man if you’re a woman and oh yes a woman if you are a man.
Not having to sleep with at least twenty partners before deciding on one. Having the right to believe in the truths found in the bible and not being forced against my will by science, that gets a lot wrong all the time, and atheists who lets face it have a very sad agenda in life and death . to believe in there non-belief.
I honestly am getting very tired of being commanded by arrogant atheist minds, to believe that there is no God and that I and others who know creation to be true are actually deluded and that many generations who very successfully have believed in the bible and the truths there in are wrong.
You see, and I know you are the same, I just don’t want to give up the truth that I am living to join in with the mixed up chaos of today. I don’t want to be like atheist common Joe with what amounts to a religious group that believes in nothing. Totally Joe you have the right to believe in you, and nothing, but fairs fair, I have my rights to, to be happy and to believe in God. Same to you science dudes I have a right you know to decide for myself that a lot of things you declare as fact are actually, well theories and not proven to be, ahem well exactly accurate. Never have you come up with real evidence to support the evolution theory that you all get your pay checks for. I and others like me accept your right to believe in yourself if that is what you really want, but again I say why must I hear you trying to bully me into your belief patterns. I am happy is it such a crime.
Confused messages are everywhere, children are openly using Jesus as a swear word even as toddlers, as those responsible for them show them example after example from there own mouths, we Christian believers must never accept that this is ok.
Crazy that’s what this world is, that s why the common sense of remembering that as believers we are in this world but not of it, is very important. Most certainly good stuff is everywhere, when we look for it, that’s why we need to put in a lot of effort to finding that good stuff and not getting brought way down by what’s going on around.
Movies, Television, music, non of these things in themselves are evil, but if you don’t have understanding of good from bad you will definitely be affected by these and other things that are bombarding your senses with bad choices. Get yourself a revelation on good from bad, you will have more peace in your day, and night as you don’t have unnecessary images hanging around in your head, polluting your inner being with stuff that’s just plain nasty.
You know I feel very strongly that we all of us need to work on cleaning up our act before God. Spend time considering which way you are influenced by bad stuff, oft quoted I know but very relevant we need to be doing the influencing, not the other way round.
Just about the best this world has to offer is saving your money for retirement in a pension plan, birth control, and maybe a pill that can make you live until you are a hundred. On the way you are encouraged to find yourself a partner or partners to share your life journey, build yourself a career, buy a house to live in and if you need it take various medications, and surgeries to promote better health.
The structure of life that we live in does not have an answer that is why suicide rates at the worst end of peoples tortured existence are so high, and anti depressants at the lesser end are so prescribed.
That is why children are taking video footage of each other sleeping around, as young as twelve, and pornography is openly available on TV. That is why abuse of people is on the increase dramatically, whether that be physically or mentally. Violence and violent behaviour is everywhere in this society, daily we if we care to can unfortunately read of atrocious evil. No don’t look at this world that we live in for answers you are going to be sadly disappointed, we as Matthew 5 13 says:
are the salt of the earth, if the salt loses its savor wherewith will it be salted (14) you are the light of the world a city that is set upon a hill cannot be hid (16) let your light so shine before men that they might see you’re good works and appreciate their father in heaven
No, there just isn’t any point ultimately in looking around for inspiration, we are meant to be the inspiration to this crazy mixed up planet we call home. Every last one of us who know that God is very real and relevant to this generation must get to a place of living this word in Matthew, and if we don’t then God help those who are left.
