Hey guys. In thinking about what to say to you all as a piece of good God advice, this is what came to me.
Don't wander aimlessly in your Christian walk. (let's face it this section is supposed to be called on the road)
Now I'm not going to go into anything too deep, nor am I going to ramble on for ages, all I'll do is say that you need a "God plan" for your life.
It makes sense. No plan and no vision equals what the bible refers too as "perishing". Or ceasing to exist! Or winding up like the children of israel in the wilderness, who wandered aimlessly round the same mountain in their life for many years.
So instead of living without a clue as to what your aiming for, set goals to focus you on a definite direction.
Put something solid into your prayer life, set something and someone to pray for as God inspires you. To get a result in prayer may mean you need to pray and pray and pray (believing) till God brings the result. It may feel like nothing is happening but behind the scenes God IS at work.
I remember the story of Daniel who was praying for forty days about something, and it seemed as if he was achieving nothing and God wasn't answering, but suddenly after many days an angel turns up and tells him his prayer was heard, and that from the first time he prayed God had sent this angel to him, but he'd been hindered by opposition from the enemy for all that time.
Just because you don't feel or see something happening as you pray, does not mean God is saying no or your having no effect. The word says we are wrestling, not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of darkness, out to prevent anything God wants to do. The good news though, is that Gods word won't return to him without accomplishing what he's said it will, and if he has inspired you to pray, then keep focused and don't wander off half way through the battle. The answer is on the way to you.
Now this of course is just one example of a God plan to focus your week upon to give it direction, there are many other ways, even down to little things that can just line up your life better with his word or his plan for you.
Make the effort to do more as a Christian than just turn up on a Sunday to church. Your missing out on the best God's got for you.
It will require work on your part, but everything does! From your job, to your kids, to a relationship and even to going on holiday! Everything requires our participation, don't let your God life fall by the wayside, let his spirit guide you and lead you toward a great God plan for your life.
