Sometimes when we get busy about our day or week, we can become rapped up in a lot of stuff; You've got that assignment for work due in on wednesday, the dog needs it's yearly shot, there's that bill come in that needs paid and your sure you didn't spend that much or it's soccer practise for little johnny, but amid all the "busy" don't forget God.
It's easy to get caught up in what Jesus described as the "cares of this world" that we forget or become distracted from the one who gave us everything that we have.
Yes life has the habit if you let it, whilst we're doing all that we've got lined up, to take our eyes off of the most important person of all.
We can even miss, or not notice just how much that person does for us each day. Where would you be without Jesus?
Don't let familiarity rob you of the amazing revelation that you are saved, that you've been given eternal life, that you've been filled with the promise of the Holy Ghost. Never forget that he's forgiven you or that from the moment you got up this morning, he's been on the job of guarding your life and your family from evil and harm.
I'd say that you've got an awful lot to thank God for!
It can become the case that you end up feeling it's you if you accomplish something, and at the same time blame God that he's not doing enough for you. Well why did that happen? Good question, perhaps you need a wake up call to remind you that your getting off track and that Gods gently trying to steer you back onto the correct road for your life.
When Gods not central and your focus is upon everything but him, well then indeed it's time for some road blocks to be encountered. Perhaps the obstacle that's irritating you is preventing you from heading over some pit just ahead?
We need to be very thankful people! Psalms 103 says "Bless the lord oh my soul and all that is within me bless his holy name. Bless the lord oh my soul and forget not ONE of all his blessings..."
Did you hear that? Not ONE!
It goes on to list for us the incredible things that he does for us.
Who forgives every one of your iniquities? Who heals each one of your diseases? Who redeems your life from the pit and corruption? Who beautifies, dignifies and crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercy? Who satisfies your mouth, your necessities and desires at your personal age and situation, with good so that your youth, renewed, is like the eagles, strong overcoming and soaring?!
What an amazing God is on your side, be thankful each day for all of his many benefits towards your life and don't suffer from the fault of the ten lepers of whose number, only one returned, after Jesus healed them, to give Jesus praise and thanks.
I encourage you all that in all your busyness, don't be too busy to remember the things that the Lord has done for you.
